Our Safety Protocols for COVID-19

Everyone is encouraged to wear a mask when entering the clinic.

Before the appointments:

• If a patient has symptoms of COVID-19 or have a high possibility of exposure to the virus, they will be asked to reschedule. Symptoms include: recent loss of taste or smell, persistent coughs, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, sore throat, muscle or body aches, runny nose or stuffy nose, headache, fatigue, nausea or vomiting, diarrhea, fever at or greater than 100 degrees Fahrenheit.

At the appointment:

• Mask wearing & hand sanitizing are encouraged when entering the clinic. Hand sanitizer is available at the front desk.
• The acupuncturist and staff wear masks at all times.

Other protocols:

• Appointments are staggered, to allow for thorough cleaning and disinfecting, and to avoid overlaps of patients in the common area.
• All touch surfaces are sanitized between appointments with an appropriate disinfectant (we currently use Force of Nature - a toxic chemical free EPA registered disinfectant), and there is a HEPA air filter running at all times in each treatment room, as well as in the reception area.
• All linens are changed between appointments. Linens are washed with high-heat water & scent-free detergent.
• The water dispenser is not available at this time.
• Acupuncturist & all staff will take COVID-19 testing in the event that there is a known exposure or development of symptoms in the household.
